TakeAimAtCancer.org Launches Educational Arm

ATLANTA - Feb. 4, 2011 - The Take Aim at Cancer Research Fund (TakeAimAtCancer.org), a non-profit organization benefitting lung cancer research, has launched its educational arm with the completion of a pilot program held at The Westminster Schools of Atlanta on February 3 and 4, 2011. Lead by Co-chairs Barbara Levy and Fontaine Draper, the mission of the organization’s educational arm is to empower communities with the tools and knowledge to become advocates for themselves and others in the quest to eliminate cancer. This announcement was made today by Jeffrey Wigbels, founder of TakeAimAtCancer.org.

The TakeAimAtCancer.org educational arm is comprised of doctors, nutritionists, and educators who have volunteered to develop a positive health initiative for high school students to better understand unique ways of targeting the fight against cancer. As a collaborative team of experts, the goal is to further the quest of knowledge in building scientists, in understanding the why of cancer, and in helping prolong life through understanding.
