Education

The TakeAimAtCancer.org educational arm is comprised of doctors, nutritionists and educators who have volunteered to develop a positive health initiative for high school students to better understand unique ways of targeting the fight against cancer. As a collaborative team of experts, the goal is to further the quest of knowledge in building scientists, in understanding the why of cancer and in helping prolong life through understanding.
The Westminster School in Atlanta hosted a very successful pilot program in February of 2011 and The Lovett School in Atlanta will host the next program in February of 2012.
The objectives of TakeAimAtCancer.org’s programs are to encourage finding a balance in life through an understanding of the:
- How and why of cancer
- Critical value of research
- Value of nutrition
- Importance of psychological wellness
- Physical interdependence of the mind and body
- Role of the immune system
- Value of making good decisions in life
