On October 11, 2006, Jeff Wigbels learned he had Stage IV non-smokers lung cancer. The next day, his wife — unaware of this — gave birth to their son. The following day, Jeff told her there was a good chance their son soon might not have a dad. But today, because of funding for research into targeted therapies, Jeff is watching his children grow up. He believes he’s been given a gift, one that he and Tiffany want to give back, and Take Aim at Cancer was born.
In 2013, Take Aim at Cancer merged with LUNGevity Foundation, the nation’s largest private funder of lung cancer research, to continue the efforts to fund impactful research into targeted therapies and early detection of lung cancer.
